Just an extract from the local scene...

• 3:54 p.m.: A caller said he had footprints in his yard. Police responded and found they belonged to an animal.
• 3:24 p.m.: A man reported a woman about 40 years old was wearing a T-shirt and crying on the side of the road, near Dunkin Donuts. She was gone when police arrived.
• 3:59 p.m.: A woman wearing a purple jacket and an American flag shirt was near the Mobil Route 85 on Cedar Street, and told a caller she was going to walk to Florida. Police checked I-495. She could not be located.
• 4:04 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle was being driven by a passenger on East Main Street. There was no one in the driver's seat. Police could not locate it.
• 6:03 p.m.: A Hyundai was repossessed at Milford Regional Medical Center.

And then, to bed, exhausted.
