CashMob in Milford

One of my fondest memories of youth is grazing through the small shops of crafts people and artisans.

Given To Gauche recreates that experience for me, since every object has been selected by the owner, Susan Ashelford, and reflects her personal style and aesthetic.

Combining her own jewelry, which she creates in her shop every day, with an eclectic mixture of objects for the home, Susan has created an oasis of calm on a busy downtown street. I often stop in just to chat and see what she is working on.

But this coming Saturday I will come with $20 cash and a gleam in my eye!

Q: What's a CashMob?
A: Everyone descends on a store at the same time, with $20 cash (or more) in support of a local small business. It keeps your income circulating in the community and makes the whole world better.

Collected Stories Bookstore (12 Daniel Street) is the other retail location that is part of our CashMob. Both shops are steps away from the Milford MetroNorth train station, and the Downtown Farmers Market.
